Можно было бы анонс какой то придумать для игры чтобы все точно знали когда они наверняка смогут найти кого-то на сервере. Потому что так нереально застать когото. Человек заходит на сервер никого там не видит и выходит, а буквально через минуту еще ктото заходит на сервак и тоже никого не видит. И так лоди в вечном поиске в трех соснах.

Или прогу подскажите какую - то чтобы видеть есть ли кто нибудь на серваке. Или график какой то...

Можна зделать из 12 до 12:15 - ета пускай народ собереться, или вечером думаю где то в 19:00 до 19:15

"How do I start using aGSM?"

This seems to be the problem for some of our users, so we provide you with this small Getting Started guide. If you have problems following some of this steps feel free to ask us. There's also a contributed tutorial in German, thanks to netrunners.de.

Note that this guide applies only to aGSM 2.51c

 

Step 1: Install aGSM

You can install aGSM by running our self-installing distributive (you can download it here). If you are using Windows 95 you'll be given a link to WinSock2, download and install it prior to using aGSM. After that, follow instructions in the installation program. It is recommended that you install aGSM in the same directory where you installed it before.

 

Step 2: Configure aGSM

If you are running aGSM for the first time you might want to configure it. Start the program and select configure button (the one with a wrench on it). First, configure the games installed on your computer using General tab. Double-click on the game and press browse button to locate it's executable file.

 

Explore Internet and LAN tabs to configure advanced aGSM options; you can get help on each item in the configuration dialog using the small question mark on the titlebar. If confused by numerous options, leave everything as it is.

 

Step 3: Add Internet servers

In this version of aGSM you can either manually add Internet servers that you use most often, or import servers from ISEL real-time database of most often used servers. See Internet tab, it has all means to manage your server list, or open Import tab, to import servers for any of the supported games. Note that ISEL database is updated in real time, so you might want to update your local list of servers to get the latest servers.

 

To manually add a server, you must know it's address; press add button and enter server's ip address or Internet name; specify an alias (your own name for this server); select type of the game from the dropdown list and the server port (leave default value if unsure; you can also try Scan button to find all active ports on the server).

 

After you're finished adding your favorite servers, proceed to Step 4 (you shouldn't normally add too many servers, it would slow down your refresh times)

 

Step 4: start using aGSM

Close configuration dialog; you are now ready to start using aGSM. If you are not on a LAN (if you use modem, you most probably are not), select Internet button in the main window. Otherwise, you might also be interested in the games running on your LAN.

 

Use refresh button to refresh currently selected list (either Internet or LAN servers). When the refresh is over you'll see the list of currently active servers; select any server to get extended information about it in the info tree on the right.

 

You can join any selected server either by using Launch button (big one with a game icon on it) or by pressing your right mouse button and selecting Go (or any of the command-lines that you might have preconfigured using game configuration dialog).

 

That's it, feel free to explore all options of aGSM to get the most out of this program, and come to this site often for the latest updates!

 

"Where can I get the ws2_32.dll?"

If your Windows 95 complains about this file when you run aGSM then you don't have WinSock2 installed. Normally, if you run aGSM setup, it would give you the URL where you can download the WinSock upgrade from Microsoft. You should run downloaded setup file, that would fix your problem.

 

If, for some weird reason, you can not download the file from within the aGSM setup utility, try this link WinSock2 for Windows 95 setup

 

"Fonts & toolbars are displayed incorrectly"

This happens on some WinNT/Win2k installations which do not have MS Sans Serif font (download from here). This can happen when you upgrade Win98 and this font becomes broken; it would result in many programs, aGSM included, displaying their dialogs incorrectly (using standard system font). Just download the font, unzip it somewhere, and then drag it over your Fonts directory (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Fonts), it should fix this problem.

 

"Can you add support for another game?"

Yes, sure. We are trying to add support for as many good multiplayer games as possible. However, we might not have some of the games, and as our project is non-commercial we also can't spend lots of money on games. Your help (game CDs, etc) would be greatly appreciated. We also reserve the right to include only the games which we do like and consider appropriate.

 

"Why aGSM does not see the supported game server?"

First of all, check the configured timeout. If it is too low, some slower servers may fail to respond. If you did not import any Internet servers, you would not see any servers after refresh, as well. Go to configuration dialog, Internet tab, and see if you have any servers there (unless you are on a LAN). Also, check the game configuration dialog and see which version of the game is supported. Sometimes different versions of the game behave different and can not be detected. Anyway, we try our best to keep up with game updates and new patches, and to add support for the latest game versions as soon as they come out. If you see that latest version of some game is not supported by aGSM, and it is not on our ToDo list, please contact us ASAP.

 

"I don't see some game in the list of Internet games?!?"

aGSM was primarily designed as LAN game server monitor. Things changed, and now it supports Internet games aswell. But, not all of the supported games can be monitored on Internet. Some of them require commercial services to play, and supporting these is not what we would do. Some are using IPX protocol only, etc. Non client-server games have the lowest chance to be supported on Internet directly, because of their nature. Please see our games list, it shows which games are supported on Internet and which are LAN-only. Also, see the next section of this FAQ for details regarding Blizzard games playable over FSGS.

 

"How do I use FSGS to play Diablo (1/2), Starcraft (Broodwar), etc, over Internet?"

aGSM supports FSGS, which stands for Free Standard Game Server, which effectively emulates Blizzard's Battle.Net service and allows you to play LAN/BNet only titles over Internet on the server of your choice. You can use aGSM as a server finder and connecting utility for FSGS servers just as you would do with any other supported game, however, there are some gotchas. FSGS is not a game in itself, but a multi-game chat lobby with game serving capabilities. You don't have to install anything to play Diablo or Starcraft/Warcraft on FSGS, just the game and aGSM. You should import some FSGS servers closer to you (lower ping), and configure FSGS (general configuration, double click FSGS, enter the path to the game executable that you would be playing via FSGS).

 

Now, refresh the list of Internet servers, pick a FSGS server, and connect to it. Your chosen game would be started, and you should select "Open Battle.Net" in the menu, it would connect you to the server (provided that you have the latest patch of that game). Two things that you should know - you can play only one game over FSGS with aGSM (you have to reconfigure FSGS if you want to change the game you would be playing), and also, aGSM would overwrite your open Battle.Net ip address in the registry when you connect, so every time you connect to Open Battle.Net from your Blizzard games you would be taken to the FSGS server that you last played on from within aGSM. Please contact FSGS developers if you have technical difficulties connecting to or playing on their servers.

 

"How can I monitor game server running some custom addon?"

aGSM would monitor any server, irregardless of the add-on which is run on the server. aGSM currently does not differentiate between various mods and flavors of games; this ability would be included with Filters (see ToDo).

If you want to connect to some server with a custom command line (like "quake -game ctf") you should go to configuration dialog, general section, and edit that game's properties.

 

You can add as many command line configurations as you like. To start a game using your custom command line configuration click right mouse button on the server in the server list and choose the configuration from the popup menu.

 

"How to get notification when some players have joined an empty server on my LAN?"

aGSM can notify you when someone joins an empty dedicated server running on your LAN. In order to achieve this, follow this steps:

 

Go to configuration, general tab, double click on the desired game to get game properties dialog (where you usually set game executable path). In there you can see two options : "hide empty servers" and "hide full servers". We recommend you check both of them if you only want to see joinable games.

NOTE: for some games these boxes can be grayed - for ex., there can not exist an empty StarCraft server, at least one person is always on, so this box is grayed for SC.; etc

Now, you can set up desired notification method. In the same configuration dialog, check "popup dialog if servers found" if you want to be notified with messagebox when anyone joins a server. Alternatively, you can check "Animate tray" and set desired animation speed, to be notified by a tray icon.

One last thing to do: open LAN tab in configuration dialog, and set refresh to automatic. Select desired refresh period; usually something about 1 minute with 200 (400 for slower LANs) msec timeout works best.

Now, minimize aGSM to tray and you'll never miss the game again, ever!

 

"aGSM for linux / older games?"

There will probably never be aGSM version for linux and older games like DOOM, however, we can recommend you a linux game server browser (free software, GPL license) named XQF, and another utility for playing old games (and new games which only support IPX), ones like Descent, DOOM, Warcraft, and many more on Internet. This utility is very much like Kali (which is no longer supported), and is named Kahn, and is freeware. Enjoy!

Я сам в етой проге ее не разобрался.

Там есть опция переключения на русский язык, ее нада нажать и тогда понятнее будет чуть-чуть.

+ еще в первом скриншоте нужно будет выбрать изображение кваки и нажать на него появится менюшка в которой нужно будет указать путь к екзешнику игры и поставиь галочки чтобы прога игнорировала серверы на которых никого нет и на которых нет свободных мест.

Я согласен с временем 19:00. Чтобы ето было вроде сходки какой то. Конечно если люди будут и в другое время это еще круче будет =)
